In China, more then 500 million people use contaminated water which is approximately 2/3 of the population of China. As a result of this, gastrointestinal cancer is the number one killer in people living in the countrysides. A lot of the time people drink water that is poisoned with arsenic. When nearby factories realease all their toxins and wastes into the water, it affects not only the organisms who live underwater, but the humans who live above it as well.
