Most shellfish contained toxic chemicals such as lead and cadmium and a common chinese pesticide called DDT. The amount of lead found in the shellfish was 50% higher than the standard amount that shellfish usually contain. The cadmium and DDT levels were 40% higher than they usually are as well.
